XL 2010 Excel If Function

How do I insert (or type) the value returned by Excel If to Column C after using Excel If Function? Can I use this formula if my data sheet contains more than one row for each value in Column A and Column B? Plz recommend me some resource for Excel If function in detail. I've got a lot good info from this resource but want to read more.
